Thank you so much for taking the time to apply to be an Orientation Leader for the summer of 2023! In this application, we will be collecting some important information about you and learning more about your qualifications for this position.

The second part of this application includes four essay questions, which are each 250 words maximum. If you have not yet seen the essay questions, we recommend copying down the questions and then typing your essays in Word before starting this application. That way, you will be able to save, spell/grammar check, and use word count. Then when you're finished, come back and paste your responses into the application.

1. What is one accomplishment or something you're proud of achieving during your time at Marian?
2. Looking back at your transition to college and first semester, what was an experience or moment that has influenced your decision to become an OL?
3. You may have heard during callout meetings that OLs are the "Go-to people to guiding incoming students through their transition to college". What are some ways that you will be a go-to person and support your students during their transition?
4. As an Orientation Leader, your groups of students will bring a variety of backgrounds, experiences, personalities, needs, worries, and more. As an OL, how can you support diverse groups of students who are not all experiencing this transition the same way?

There are no right or wrong answers for the essays, so we encourage you to just be yourself and let your personality shine through! This application must be completed in one sitting and may time out if open for multiple hours.

It is also important for you to know that along with this application, you must also submit your resume to the Orientation Leader position posting on Handshake. The application is Due February 12th at 11:59pm.
